A win for Re-Match and the environment
- 08/19/2020
In last week’s edition of CCGrass, Turf Matters, we discussed recycling within the artificial grass industry. How in recent years, there has been a huge focus on the environmental impact of single use plastics. This has led to an increased interest and research into recycling and repurposing artificial grass beyond its initial use.
Re-Match, an innovative and original company, founded in 2015, is a step ahead of the rest, by making it possible to recycle 99% of an artificial turf system.
They provide sports arenas and stadiums, the opportunity to remove their worn out pitches, by separating and cleaning the turf to create secondary raw materials.
Re-Match enables old pitches, to become the raw materials in new pitches.
In this year’s Nordic Impact Business Summit, on the 9th December 2020, Re-Match’s environmental efforts have been recognised as one of 50 most promising impact start-ups in the Nordic and Baltic region.
The Summit is a platform designed for up to 200 regional and global investors, to be matched with Nordic start-up companies that use green technology and other sustainable solutions.
This opportunity for Re-Match to receive global investments could enable its further expansion, benefiting the artificial turf industry with more environmentally conscious and sustainable options.
We are incredibly excited for Re-Match and wish them all the best at the Nordic Impact Business Summit.
