AMI Conference 2020 another victim of the coronavirus
- 04/22/2020
The synthetic turf industry’s leading technical event, The AMI Conference, which presents information, market intelligence, and discussion points at “The Grass Yarn & Tufters Forum“ has been cancelled.
The prestigious annual gathering of industry suppliers, consultants and governing bodies was supposed to take place from 23-25 March 2020 in Barcelona. However, it was called off due the current coronavirus situation.
This well-respected and attended conference, focuses on technical and commercial developments in the artificial grass/synthetic turf supply-chain. It also has presentations that look at industry issues, such as microplastics and end of life turf recycling.
It is especially important to CCGrass, as it provides unique opportunities to discuss structural changes in the market, with industry shakers. The bi-annual report on the synthetic turf market, is expected to be published shortly and it will be interesting to see how it interprets the effect that COVID 19 may have on the artificial grass industry.
In recent years, senior CCGrass representatives have given presentations at the Conference on different artificial grass related topics. This year, our European CEO, Mr. Bryn Lee’s topic covered the acceptance of synthetic turf pitches in football at different levels of the game. Bryn commented: “The AMI Conference will be missed this year, as it is a unique occasion which brings together the major influencers in the artificial grass industry. We will be back in 2021”
