CCGrass’s first artificial grass pitch in Germany
- 04/30/2020
The first rolls of the new CCGrass football surface for TSV Fortuna in Billigheim, Germany, have been laid this week, with the full pitch ready for play in the next few days.
The Billigheim installation is being carried out by Raumflora, a specialist sports pitch construction company, who began the groundworks last year, before bad weather conditions stopped work during the winter months.
Despite further delays during the current Coronavirus crisis, work on the artificial turf pitch in Billigheim continues. The first rolls of our BiPlex AU 40 are currently being laid out onto a 35mm thick shockpad. The grass will then be filled with a base layer of sand and topped with special cork granules.
BiPlex AU 40 is a two fibre product from CCGrass that has passed the German DIN 18035 as well as the FIFA Quality Pro test. The two different fibres – AeroX and Ultimate, have their own functions and strengths. AeroX is a heavyweight yarn with a solid profile, designed for its exceptional resilience, whilst Ultimate is a wider blade with a central spine, designed to offer a fuller appearance and a softer feel.
CCGrass European Sales Manager, Onno Brenninkmeijer commented: “This an exciting installation for everyone involved and I am delighted it features such a great CCGrass product”.
