Bradford Park Avenue played their first match of the 2020/21 National League North season against Gateshead, albeit behind closed doors, on their new CCGrass BiPlex MY60 pitch.

The pitch, completed at the beginning of September, by PST Sport, has been tested to the highest quality – FIFA Quality, FIFA Quality Pro and World Rugby standards.

Gareth Roberts, the Chairman of the club gave a statement:

‘It’s great news that the new season is going to go ahead, and we are delighted for all of our staff, fans and players that we will be watching some competitive football on the new pitch and renovated ground.

Whilst still not confirmed in any detail, the government announcement in conjunction with the National League that some funding will come to help cover the loss of match day revenue, our decision to try and play our games is only possible due to the huge efforts of everyone involved including the staff, players and many others behind the scenes too  numerous to mention. The club worked hard to set up the option to live stream all of their home matches this season, for a small fee. Meaning that all season ticket holders and fans will be able to see Bradford Park Avenue’s new pitch in action.
