World Class Hockey Fields
The first two CCGrass blue hockey fields have been completed at Tamworth Hockey Centre, based in Australia, with a third one close to completion.
Tuff Turf, CCGrass’s long-standing local partner, who started work on the pitches last year, is carrying out the installation. Tuff Turf, which is part of the Tuff Group, installs synthetic turf for a number of high-profile turf projects around Australia. According to TuffTurf this includes “the largest synthetic project in the southern hemisphere (St Kevin’s College – synthetic sports fields) which spans an area of 38,000 square meters.”.
Product
The product used, FastPro HF13, is a dedicated hockey surface. The “in house” produced FastPro HF yarn, weighs in at 8000 dtex and is a texturised PE monofilament. This makes the yarn curly and non-directional, which creates excellent play characteristics.
The addition of a third water-based synthetic hockey field will make Tamworth one of only six complexes in Australia with the capability to host state and national championships! The field tests by an FIH approved Test House will be carried out upon completion.
Thank you for the effort by CCGrass local partner, Tuff Group. Another great installation.
