YARN CHARACTERISTICS
The Duro yarn is a 2nd generation soft PE with a long fibrillation pattern. The yarn is made in tape form and then divides into connected fibres, once tufted. The yarn can be produced at 8,000 or 11,000 dtex, in different shades of green, red, blue, yellow and white. Duro yarn is exceptionally hard wearing.
PLAY CHARACTERISTICS
At 24mm pile height, Duro is very much a second generation product, designed to be filled within 3mm of the fibre top, with selected and graded sand. When laid onto an appropriate shock pad, it will provide a hockey surface up to FIH Multi-Sport and recreational tennis. This type of surface is the original multi sport pitch and was used on many school and hockey club pitches, where football, hockey, tennis are all played on the same surface.
ACCREDITATION
As a multi sport surface it will not meet FIFA requirements, but will meet FIH Multi Sport.
